Well, I was thinking of buying Orion's new astrograph 8" f/4 for grab and go observing with a bit more "oomph!" than my SV80ED. But then I thought the better of it, as f/4 is pretty damn fast!

So I decided on an 8" f/5 and presto- one landed in my lap! I worked out a trade with a nice guy on CN for a very nice looking Antares 8" f/5 OTA for my pristine 12mm Radian and a bit of cash. The 12mm was a bit redundant in my case anyway since I have the 24mm Panoptic and a Powermate.

The scope was shipped today from Illinois via the post office so I'll post pictures when it arrives in 5 weeks.
