Finally put the finishing touches on this morning. I hope dad likes it.

You're not kidding, Kerry. His birthday was two weeks ago! :shock: Looks like it will have to be a birthmas present now. :candycane:

I just took it out side on my deck in 15 mph winds. Little bit of vibration, but not bad for such a long scope in those conditions. Jupiter was nice and sharp, three bands visible in the 16mm Edge-on at 56x. No CA when in focus. Spot on. Now here's hoping for some calm, clear nights after I give it to him.

Sounds like a really nice long focus achro doing exactly what it was designed to do. I can't imagine he won't like it. Looks great BTW. Nice little cradle mount you built for it! :waytogo:
