No new components for now. I'm transferring the stuff from my old Hardin, which is what now resides in the boxes you see. I'm plenty happy with the figure (at least visually) of the primary, and the secondary is a documented 1/10 PTV which is fine for now. The focuser is a gorgeous orange/gold moonlight CR2 dual stage with a 2.75" draw tube. I'm going with an ultra simplified two pole strut(?) design. Finalized sketches to follow.

Looking forward to seeing this project develop, Jason!

As simple as it sounds, it should be pretty portable. Try to bring it with you when you come out and visit.

 I think I know a dude with a 16" in an observatory out that way, so no need to tax the luggage.

Anyway, I will be keeping you guys up to date with images. The next plan is to settle on a wood, and it's looking like appleply with a maple top veneer is taking a slight lead over baltic birch. I'll have to order it through a local specialty Woodcraft shop, so it may take some time. Stay posted.
