In two days I will be tackling the Time Trial race to the top of Mount Greylock. I am nervous, only because I hope to do well, but at the end of the day I will simply take a finish without failure as a measure of success. A couple weeks back I was in Bar Harbor and had the advantage of training on Cadillac Mountain while vacationing. Here's hoping i sleep well on Friday night and wake up with fresh legs and a strong focus.

Race is over! Definitely finished toward the bottom of the field, but I'm still happy with my accomplishment. And now I will have a time to aim to beat next year.

I won't know what my official time and place is until it is posted, but I'm guessing i'm around 100 out of 120. It blew my mind how swiftly I was passed by some of these riders on 10% grade sections!

Anyway, it was a blast. First official race. There will be more.

Awesome, congrats Jason! Just finishing a race like that sounds like a big accomplishment. The Kona Ironman is next month so you better hurry and get ready!

Yeah, thanks! Came in 82 out of 101 in the men's division. Not stellar! hahahaha, but not horrible. And it gives me a goal for next year.

IronMan...that includes running and swimming. Not happening.
